A Christmas Letter to the Yakama people

I thought you might like to see the Christmas letter we included with the Wal-mart gift cards that were passed out in the community. A total of 46 households received either gift cards, food boxes/gifts or both this year thanks to the generosity of God’s people! Chris

Here’s the letter:

“The people who walked in darkness have seen a great light;
Those who dwelt in the land of deep darkness,
On them a light has shined.
“You, O God, have multiplied the nation;
You have increased it’s joy;
“They rejoice before you as with the joy at the harvest…
“For to us a child is born, to us a Son is given…
“His name shall be called Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God,
Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace.” ~ Isaiah 9:2-6
Merry Christmas!
The passage above is a beautiful prophesy that was recorded hundreds of years before the very “first Christmas” – Jesus’ birthday. Our prayer for you, your family, and the Yakama Nation is that together all of us will “rejoice” before the Creator and give Him thanks and praise for the first and greatest “Christmas gift”, “the Light of the World”, “the Prince of Peace” - Jesus! The Granberrys (and all of us with Sacred Road) wish you and yours a “Merry Christmas”!
Love,
Chris (for all of us)
